Life can be challenging and navigating your way through the world in a meaningful, authentic way can feel overwhelming and lonely. I am an Associate Clinical Social Worker and advocate who is passionate about working with individuals, couples, families and adolescents to affect personal growth and empowerment. My focus is to empower you by drawing on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, motivational interviewing techniques, solution focused therapy, family systems, and integrating art therapies and hypnotherapy if you desire.
My areas of specialty include anxiety, depression, relationship issues, the effects of childhood trauma and PTSD.
Overall, I take a realistic, authentic and holistic approach to healing focusing on each client’s biological, psychological, social (biopsychosocial) and spiritual characteristics. I am an active, engaged, client-centered therapist who recognizes each client’s unique therapeutic path.
Having worked as a creative photographer, director and producer in the publishing, advertising, fine arts and sports industries, I have a special understanding of the dedication and ups and downs that athletes and creatives face in their pursuits.
I believe in the strength of a safe, collaborative, supportive, non–judgmental therapeutic relationship as the basis of helping you overcome obstacles, gain insight, heal, motivate change, grow, thrive and move through the world in a meaningful, purposeful and authentic way.
I look forward to working with you.
